10. Key Performance Indicator Numbers
The following comparative statements are calculated using simple formulas and third party benchmarks and are provided for transparency only. The data used for these calculations was pulled from our Reddit account content performance numbers and compared to industry standard rates and performance of content on Google, Reddit, and Facebook.
10.1. 21 percent cheaper than Google: This compares our all in cost per click of $3.70 to a Google Ads average CPC of $4.66 and is computed as (4.66 − 3.70) ÷ 4.66 = 0.206 ≈ 20.6 percent.
10.2. Top 25 percent on Reddit: This places a 0.45 percent click through rate within a 0.30 percent to 0.50 percent reference band, assuming a uniform distribution, which yields (0.45 − 0.30) ÷ (0.50 − 0.30) = 0.75, the 75th percentile, i.e., top 25 percent.
10.3. 95 percent higher engagement than Facebook: This compares 2.54 percent to 1.30 percent and is computed as (2.54 − 1.30) ÷ 1.30 = 0.954 ≈ 95.4 percent. For these comparisons, “engagement” means upvotes plus comments divided by views on Reddit.
Benchmarks are sourced from publicly available reports and may vary by industry, season, audience, geography, and methodology. All figures are illustrative, may change without notice, and do not guarantee future results. If a different benchmark is preferred, we will restate the comparison using the same formulas.
